Cookie & Tracking Policy
Last Updated: March 2026 | Detailed Tracking Breakdown
1. Why We Use Tracking Architecture
Whenever you interact with the Siesoul Social platform, whether on the web or through the mobile binary, we may deploy "cookies" (small cached text files), web beacons, and server-tier tokens directly to your machine.
Instead of just giving you a generic statement, we want to explain exactly how we utilize these technologies so you understand how they improve your experience, protect you legally, and keep the app infrastructure stable.
2. Tier 1: Strictly Necessary Cookies (The Core Backbone)
These specific tokens cannot be disabled. If you aggressively utilize third-party plugins to block these specific cookies, our app will instantly crash or refuse to log you in. They are explicitly required for the application to function securely:
- Authentication (`session_token`): A zero-knowledge cryptographic cookie that remembers you are logged in. This prevents you from having to type your password every single time you tap a new profile screen.
- Security Defenses (`csrf_token`): A highly aggressive security cookie designed explicitly to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF). It ensures that hackers can't manipulate your browser into taking actions (like deleting your account) without your permission.
- Workflow Caches: Temporary UI tokens that remember if you just swiped right or if you're in the middle of a checkout process, ensuring your data isn't lost if you lose Wi-Fi for three seconds.
3. Tier 2: Performance and Analytics Providers
We constantly want to make Siesoul Social faster and more intuitive. We use specific performance trackers to help us understand app utilization. For example:
- Aggregated Engagement (e.g., PostHog / Google Analytics): These trackers monitor high-level traffic. They tell us technical things like, "It takes 4 seconds for the Atelier screen to load on an iPhone 12," or "80% of users are completely ignoring the messaging tab." This data is kept strictly anonymous; we don't know it's *you* personally struggling with the load time, only that it's happening to the user base in general.
4. Tier 3: Third-Party Advertising Pixels
To effectively market Siesoul Social (as detailed in our Marketing Policy), we occasionally deploy social pixels from networks like Meta (Instagram/Facebook) or TikTok. These are tracking algorithms that allow those networks to know if you ended up installing Siesoul Social after seeing an ad.
Critical Note: Siesoul Social does not act as an ad broker. We don't sell your data wholesale so other companies can market to you. These pixels are strictly utilized so we can gauge the efficiency of our own growth campaigns.
5. How to Exert Control Over Your Tracking
You have total sovereignty over Tier 2 and Tier 3 trackers. You can explicitly revoke consent at any time. Here is exactly how to do it:
- Within Siesoul Social: Utilize the explicit "Manage Cookies" consent banner tool located in the footer of our global web dashboard.
- Directly via your Mobile Device: On iOS, navigate to Settings > Privacy > Tracking, and disable tracking permissions for Siesoul Social. On Android, utilize similar Privacy features blocking App Trackers.
- Directly via your Browser: Go into the advanced settings of Chrome, Safari, or Firefox and clear all local cache/cookies, or enforce "Do Not Track" signals which we algorithmically respect.
